“No cases (of COVID-19) in PCGH as of this minute,” Sotto said in reply to a Twitter post Thursday. “Let’s all help each other stop fake news,” he continued.

In a Twitter post, a netizen asked what was happening at PCGH. The post included photos of medical personnel wearing protective suits. Sotto said what was shown in the photos were “standard decontamination exercises.”

On Feb. 2 and Feb. 17, the mayor belied rumors of an alleged confirmed case of the feared disease at PCGH.

The Pasig City Public Information Office (PIO) on Monday has also shut down rumors that a patient at PCGH allegedly tested positive for COVID-19.

In its Facebook page, the PIO said there was no confirmed case of COVID-19 nor person under investigation (PUI) for the disease at the city-run hospital.

“We only had one case assessed last February 13, but was transferred to San Lazaro Hospital a few hours later,” the PIO said.

It added that the test conducted on the patient, which was sent to the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine, “revealed negative results for COVID-19.”

“Our hospital and the City of Pasig is prepared in dealing with these cases, We assure you that we will be able to identify and isolate such cases,” the PIO said.
