Pasig to give cash gifts to honor students

Pasig City will give cash gifts to its public elementary and senior high school students graduating with honors, its mayor said Wednesday.

The city council has signed a resolution granting cash incentives from P500 to P3,000 to academic achievers of school year 2019 to 2020, Mayor Vico Sotto said.

The city government will give P500 to elementary school students graduating with "honors," P1,000 with "high honors" and P1,500 with "highest honors."

Meanwhile, a P1,000 cash gift will be given to senior high school students graduating with "honors," P2,000 for those with "high honors" and P3,000 with "highest honors."
