Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto on Thursday gave assurance that indigent families, particularly those living in danger zones, are the priority in the local government’s proposed housing project.
“I never promised everyone will have a house of his own. That is not possible at this time. But I promised there will be no relocation and demolition of homes in the absence of a relocation site and an orderly system of transfer. The choice of beneficiaries will also be fair,” Sotto said in Filipino.

Sotto visited the previous administration’s Pabahay ng Pasig project whose terms include penalties for late payments if three percent a month compounded.
Sotto has asked his advisers to study the housing program and make recommendations.
