The vibrant energy of five dance groups from both public and private high schools illuminated Tanghalang Pasigueño as they competed in the exhilarating Hataw Pasigueño 2023 Dance Competition held on December 14, 2023.



Grand Champion

In an impressive showcase of talent, the Royal Dance Varsity from Sta. Lucia High School emerged as the Hataw Pasigueño 2023 Grand Champion. Their outstanding performance earned them the coveted title and a substantial cash prize of PHP 60,000.00.


Runners Up

Not to be outdone, the Rizal High School Modern Dance Troupe (Rizal High School) and Kasaglaw Dance Troupe (Buting Senior High School) secured the 1st and 2nd Runner-Up positions, respectively. 


These accomplished dance groups claimed prizes of PHP 40,000.00 and PHP 30,000.00, showcasing their remarkable dance prowess.

Consolation Prizes for All

Even the remaining participating teams were acknowledged for their efforts, with two consolation prizes of PHP 5,000.00 each. The competition was fierce, and all the dance groups left a lasting impression on the audience and judges alike.

To ensure a fair and accurate evaluation of the performances, the Pasig City government invited a distinguished panel of judges. The esteemed judges included Mr. Raymond Francisco, Mr. Patrick Joseph Lapus, Mr. Csairus John Habla, and Mr. Randy Carlos Guevara, who brought their expertise to the event.



Paskotitap Float Parade 2023

For those who couldn't get enough of the winning performances, the Royal Dance Varsity, Rizal High School Modern Dance Troupe, and Kasaglaw Dance Troupe will be featured in the pre-show of the upcoming Paskotitap Float Parade 2023. The parade is set to take place this Sunday, December 17, 2023, at Bridgetowne.


The Hataw Pasigueño 2023 Dance Competition showcased Pasig City's rich dance culture and the incredible talents of its youth. Congratulations to all the participating dance groups for their outstanding performances and to the Royal Dance Varsity for claiming the title of Grand Champion.
